Job Description

Johnson County Department of Health & Environment is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Administrative Support II. The position is located at 11875 S Sunset Drive, Suite 300, Olathe, KS 66061.

Duties Include:

  • Clerical, administrative, and logistical Support for meetings and trainings including soliciting, organizing, and preparing documentation, agendas, minutes, and dissemination of minutes.
  • Schedules meetings and maintains distribution lists for multiple groups.
  • Performs data entry of confidential information.
  • Maintains both public and confidential files, distributes reports; types form letters, labels, mail merges and corresponds; proofreads information.
  • Assists in the coordination and logistics of several programs, including School Dental Screening Program, Internship Program, and Suicide Fatality Review Committee.
  • Supports the logistics of DHE-led or supported training and continuing education events, including managing event supplies and equipment.
  • Creates fliers and other documents to support programmatic work. Orders, inventories, receives, and shelves routine supplies; reviews invoices/packing slips to ensure shipment is correct, and follows up on discrepancies; tracks expenditures.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of administrative support are required.

 

Experience can substitute for education.  Education can substitute for experience.
