Johnson County Office of the County Appraiser is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Appraiser II. The position is located at 11811 S Sunset Drive, Suite 2100, Olathe, KS 66061. Appraiser II responsibilities include:
To be eligible for consideration for Appraiser II, the candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics or Statistics, preferred. Must be capable of maneuvering and reviewing a construction site, able to lift 25 lbs., maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and exposure to dogs are also required.
Candidate must have two (2) years of mass appraisal experience and two (2) valuation cycles of appraisal experience and be proficient in all types of residential property valuation.
Preferred qualification as an experienced user of Microsoft Office applications. Pictometry (PICS), Automated Information Mapping System (AIMS), ORION or equivalent applications. International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO courses 101-Fundamentals of Real Property Appraisal) or equivalent course work/ work experience. IAAO course 102-Income Approach to Valuation or equivalent course work/ work experience preferred. Registered Mass Appraiser (RMA) preferred.
