Johnson County’s District Attorney’s Office is looking for a qualified applicant to fill the Administrative Support II position within the Diversion Unit. 

 

The position is located at 150 West Santa Fe Street, Olathe, KS 66061, and provides excellent benefits, including health insurance, wellness programs and discounts, retirement programs, and various other discount programs. We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience.

Job Description

This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Provides back-up support to reception by answering phones and referring calls to appropriate personnel; provides support to the traffic diversion unit by giving standard information in response to phone, email, and in-person inquiries relating to traffic diversion; acts as back-up to other administrative positions within the criminal and traffic diversion unit.
  • Greets visitors and maintains and administers appropriate safety procedures in secured environments. 
  • Copies and collates documents; retrieves, sorts and distributes mail and other time-sensitive material(s). 
  • Maintains files both public and confidential, generates and distributes reports, and processes financial transactions accurately into systems; formulates letters, labels, mail merges, and correspondence accurately; schedules meetings, interviews, and other functions.

Job Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of administrative support are required. A Bachelor's degree and an understanding of the criminal legal field are preferred. Bilingual: fluent in Spanish and English preferred.
