The Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) within the Johnson County Mental Health Center is seeking a Mental Health Crisis Case Manager to provide mobile mental health crisis response services to the Johnson County community. MCRT is comprised of crisis case managers and licensed clinicians and is based out of the Mission office but geared toward working in the community. MCRT is dedicated to resolving emergency situations by providing brief and intensive services to reduce individuals’ needs for hospitalization and law enforcement interaction when possible and supporting client connection to resources including but not limited to mental health care.

The Crisis Case Manager will be paired with a MCRT Crisis Clinician to provide mobile crisis response in the evening hours (2 p.m. to 12 a.m.) Wednesday through Saturday. The pair will be dispatched by JCMHC’s 988 Crisis Line team to safely respond to behavioral health crises occurring in the community. Safety is critical in these roles and the pair will request law enforcement support at their discretion. The pair will de-escalate, assess and support individuals through their crisis and complete timely follow up, either by phone or at their home, to ensure the individual connects to appropriate resources and/or the crisis has resolved.

The qualified candidate will have a strong desire to provide intensive crisis intervention services to the community, be well versed in suicide and safety assessments, be willing to strongly advocate for the best interests of the individuals we serve and have a passion for public service. This position is eligible for a shift differential specific to overnight hours($1.50/hr), weekend hours ($0.75/hr), and evening hours ($0.75/hr). This posting will remain open until filled.
