Job Description

The work completed by the stormwater seasonal employees may include water quality monitoring, in-stream biologic assessments, stormwater infrastructure inspection, pollution investigation, educational events, and environmental restoration workdays, and mapping using ArcGIS applications. It is expected that the seasonal employees would perform office, laboratory, mapping, and field duties as assigned, with the opportunity to work on projects and activities within the Public Works Department and across other related County departments.

 

Compensation for internship is $20.00 per hour. 

Job Requirements

Must be a current student at an accredited university or college, majoring in civil engineering, environmental engineering, hydrology, earth science, biology, ecology, public administration and/or community planning with experience using geographic information system mapping applications.
