Johnson County Treasury, Taxation and Vehicles (TTV) is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our County Clerk and Register of Deeds division as the County Clerk Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional leader interested in supporting daily operations and enhancing the public service provided by the County Clerk division.
The County Clerk and Register of Deeds team is responsible for maintaining an accurate record of property ownership along with a map of all taxing unit boundaries to create the county’s annual tax roll which totals more than $1.8 billion. The team interprets legal descriptions and updates property or taxing unit boundaries accordingly, identifies and corrects errors and inconsistencies in official records, and explains property transfer policies to key stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include:
An associate’s degree in tax administration, data analysis, data management, accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a related field is required. 1 year experience as a supervisor, lead, or coordinator of the work of others is required.
A bachelor’s degree in one of the above fields is preferred.
Experience can substitute for education, and education can substitute for experience.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
