Johnson County Mental Health Center Administration is looking to fill the position of Behavioral Health Data Scientist. Under limited supervision, this position performs the full range of professional data management and data analysis duties required to support business units within the Mental Health Department. This position will interpret customer needs and requirements by leading cross-functional teams then quantifies results and trends, and translates concepts into practice; as well as data into meaningful information. This position is also responsible for the successful activities of major significance by assisting in establishing and administering centralized projects that touch multiple divisions within Mental Health; completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results. This position will remain open until filled.
Additional duties include:
Master's Level degree in applied statistics and analytics, biostatistics, data science, applied mathematics, or related field including courses in linear algebra, calculus, statistics, and data analysis; Five (5) years of professional experience as a data scientist, statistician, or related occupation with experience using statistical or other data analysis software; applying principles and methods to define features, physical characteristics, locations, interrelationships, and distribution of data; functional testing; reporting; and spatial, performance and/or statistical analysis in an academic, data administration, or business data analytics environment that involves using data modeling, database consolidation, ad hoc query, or business intelligence tools, relational databases, metadata, XML schema design, and/or taxonomy; and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
Doctorate in applied statistics and analytics, biostatistics, data science, bio mathematics, or related field including courses in linear algebra, calculus, differential equations, design of experiment, and mathematical modeling and three (3) years of professional experience working as a data scientist, statistician or related occupation in the field of behavioral or physical healthcare preferred.
