Johnson County Mental Health is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a Case Manager position on the Adult Services team to work with adults who experience severe mental illness. The Case Manager works as part of a strengths-based case management team, providing community-based services to Johnson county residents. Some evening availability is required and the schedule will vary based on the needs of the clients served. Position will be open until filled.
Job Description
The First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program with Adult Services at Johnson County Mental Health is hiring a Case Manager. This position works closely with a multi-disciplinary team serving people experiencing psychosis for the first time, as well as their families. Ages served range from 15-35 years old. The job duties include:
The ideal candidate will be skillful and creative at providing person-centered services while affirming incremental progress in a consistently hope-inducing fashion.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
Preferred Job Requirements:
One year of related work experience is preferred.
Education/Experience Substitutions:
Experience may be substituted for degree. Education may be substituted for experience.
In some instances, statutory or regulatory requirements may prohibit substitution of education and/or experience.
Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions:
All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation.
