Johnson County Mental Health is looking for qualified candidates to fill the position Team Leader in their Family Focus program. The Parent Support Team Leader will provide administrative and clinical supervision to a team that provides support to parents of children, ages 4-18, with severe emotional disabilities (SED). Support is provided in both a one-on-one and group setting with the goal of maintaining severely emotionally disturbed children in the most natural, least restrictive setting possible. The ideal applicant will have documented experience with children and families, community-based services (case management and/or home-based family therapy), supervision of staff, plus strong organizational and leadership skills. Application review will begin on June 5th.
Master’s level degree in Social Work or relevant field; Kansas licensure* at the Master's level (e.g. LSCSW, LMSW, LPC, LCPC, LMLP, LCP, LCMFT); one (1) year of leading, directing, supervising or coordinating the work of others; three (3) years of clinical experience working with children; and valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
*Applicants who meet Kansas licensure requirements may be considered if Kansas licensure is obtained by time of an employment offer and licensure is pending confirmation at the time of employment application.
Kansas licensure at the Clinical level and one (1) year of experience working in a community based services environment or relevant environment preferred.
