Johnson County Government is collaborating with Sunflower House-a children’s advocacy and abuse prevention center addressing abuse and neglect- seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join our Children’s Services Program.  The position is based at Sunflower House where the Clinician will work as part of a treatment team and provide trauma focused evidence-based clinical services to children. Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments during intake, ongoing services, and crisis intervention.
• Develop and implement complex treatment and intervention plans.
• Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic services to individuals, groups, and families.
• Complete and submit clinical documentation, evaluating and documenting progress.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other Human Services field.
  • Kansas Behavioral Sciences licensure at the master’s level in the area of focus.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Kansas Behavioral Sciences license at the clinical level; licensed as a Masters or Clinical Addiction Counselor by the Behavioral Health Sciences Regulatory Board with the State of Kansas, experience in a community health setting.

Working Conditions:

  • All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation.
