The Johnson County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Trial Assistant to provide critical support in the preparation and presentation of criminal cases. This position plays an important role in assisting attorneys with case preparation, evidence organization, courtroom support, witness coordination, and administrative tasks related to hearings, jury trials, and post-trial matters.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, Public Administration, Office Administration, or related field and one year legal support, including legal research support experience are required. May require KS/MO driver’s license, depending on department or agency.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Professional Paralegal Certification is preferred.
Experience may be substituted for degree. Education may be substituted for experience.
